My First Miss NI Shoot & Interview 🗞️📸🎥👸🏻

If you follow me on Instagram or keep up with any of my socials, you’ll know that I recently had my first interview and photoshoot as a Miss Northern Ireland Finalist!
Miss Northern Ireland sponsor, The Sunday World (NI) newspaper has run an article each week on the girls who won that Wednesday’s heat, and it was finally my turn!
Melissa, Karla and I had all won the Wednesday heat so (after a phone interview the day before) we were invited down to the beautiful Europa Hotel in Belfast City Centre for the photoshoot, which was set in the gorgeous grand piano bar upstairs!
The girls and I took some solo shots, as well as pics of all three of us together for photographer Kirth Ferris, and had an absolute ball!
My previous experience of photoshoots has been limited, I did a photoshoot with Khara Pringle for what turned out to be the Belfast Met campaign that year (see my previous blog, The Face of Belfast Met, for a laugh) and my graduation day (again, from Belfast Met) was essentially spent as a Met Grad photoshoot as I was taken aside by their marketing team for photo ops.
The day was made extra special by the fact that loads of the other girls came down too because Shady Dolphin Studios were interviewing all of the girls for a documentary they’re making about this year’s competition!
It was such a lovely opportunity to meet some of the other gorgeous girls, they were all so lovely and it was such a fun, girly environment. It was a real fun change of pace to be all dolled up in front of the camera instead of my usual experience in dusty jeans and a bun on the top of my head trying to get a glimpse at the monitor
I was so excited to pick up my copy of The Sunday World that weekend, that I woke up really early and got dressed and ready to go pick up my copy! I couldn’t wait to see what photos they used and how the article turned out!
I picked up a few copies for my family and friends and was so pleased with the pics and writeup! The girls looked stunning and I was so proud to be featured!
You can see the full page and article in the image at the top of this blog but the rest of the photos are the unused ones that Kirth was kind enough to send me for my personal use, and I had to include them here because I was so happy with them!
I’m just going to take this post to thank Miss Northern Ireland for believing in me and bringing me further in the competition as a finalist! I feel like I’m still living in a dream-like bubble, and my imposter syndrome has me on edge constantly waiting for a phone call that says ‘Oh sorry Stace, there was a mistake, we’ve realised you’re not proper so that’s it over now, okay bye’ 😂
