Belfast MultiMedia Girl - Life Update
Hey everyone,
So - it’s finally happening, I’ve considered starting a YouTube version of the blog for a couple of years now, but as a full-time student who was working in TV and also had commitments with RTS Futures, I couldn’t find the time (or more importantly, the confidence) to actually do it.
You’d think I’d have made the most of the extra time at the start of lockdown to launch this but you know me, I won’t start anything until it’s meticulously planned and scheduled.
I watch a lot of girly YouTubers and love following NI Influencers on social media (Cathy Martin, Rebecca Maguire, Gemma Garrett, Olivia Neill, India Sasha and Tiffany Brien, who unfortunately was bullied off social media) and always wanted to put out my own video content.
Inspired by these women, I got more confident at micro-vlogging on my insta stories and have decided that, at the big age of 22, I can finally say I truly don’t care if people want to make fun of me π
I’ve been planning to make the blog more multi-media for a while, and now you can finally decide whether you want to watch the video, or prefer a meaty aul’ read. π₯©πππ₯
So, having now handed in my notice to my supermarket job, I am currently working part time as a researcher on a project that hasn’t been announced yet (in good time, lads π) but what I can say is that I’m back in the industry and still looking for another part time/full time gig to work across alongside it!
I’m also officially moving up to Belfast. I know, my handle has been a lie all this time but Lisburn Media Girl just doesn’t have the same ✨spice ✨
My friend Fiona and I have found the cutest place to rent. We have our keys and are currently in the process of moving in and getting it all sorted.
As everyone is bound to be aware of at this point (I haven’t shut up about it across my socials) I have recently graduated from The University Salford with a FIRST in Film production!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAATTTTT πππΎπ₯
I’m still across RTS Futures NI and am now running the social media for the Royal Television Society NI main committee (the ‘adults’ one!)
I’m so excited to launch my YouTube channel and buzzing to get my content up there, I have some videos that I can’t wait for you all to see! If you could please do me a favour by subscribing to it and liking my vid (by clicking the link below) that would be amazing! ππ»
